HaGaon HaRav Shalom Cohen Shlita, head of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Torah, was among many attending the levaya of HaGaon Rav Moshe Sarim ZT”L, Rosh Yeshivat Mesilat Torah and the niftar played a vital role in establishing Sephardi Torah. Rav Cohen was among those who was maspid the niftar, telling the tzibur that when they were young, he and the niftar were chavrusa in Yeshivat Porat Yosef.

The rav became quite emotional during his hesped, citing the recent tragedies that have befallen Am Israel. He then called on the niftar to be a meilitz yosher in front of the Kisei HaKavod, to beseech HKBH to have rachmanus and stop these tragedies.
