Municipal inspectors in Lod, working with Israel Police and representatives of communications companies, carried out a large-scale operation on Wednesday, 10 Iyar, to remove illegal cameras that were installed in public areas.

During the operation, literally dozens of cameras were seized by police, removed from various location throughout the city.

According to the law, cameras should not and may not be placed in public areas by individuals as doing so represents a violation of one’s privacy.
