Likud candidate Moshe Feiglin, who heads the party’s Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership) faction, was detained by police on Tuesday 19 Teves 5773 after bowing down during a visit to Har Habayis. Feiglin, number 23 on the party list and expected to be an MK in the 19th Knesset, visits Har Habayis to daven regularly, and he has been arrested for his actions in the past.
Since the latest event occurred before he becomes an MK, police are recommending that he face a criminal indictment since he does not enjoy parliamentary immunity at this time. The charges against him would include disorderly conduct and interfering with a policeman.
He was brought before a Jerusalem court which ordered his immediate unconditional release.
