The office of Rabbi Menachem Carmel of the Yerushalmi/Netzach faction of Degel Hatorah was broken into on shabbos morning at about 06:30. Video surveillance shows masked men inside. They made off with documents pertaining to his work in the party’s Vaad Diyor, the housing committee addressing housing issues for the party’s tzibur.
The main office of Carmel, located atop his Bar Kol supermarket at 6 Shlomo HeMelech in Bnei Brak was targeted by two men. The break in was discovered by a security office on motzei shabbos. A complaint was filed with police.
Netzach spokesman Rabbi Yaakov Friedman told the media that the surveillance footage clearly shows the two operated calmly as they searched for documents, uninterested in money. He confirms that they made off with “important documents” pertaining to the Vaad Diyor’s work.

Maybe it is time for an end to the concept of all Chareidi parties.
We are told that learning can protect a country if so it should also be able to protect the needs of those that learn Torah. If the “hishtadlus” of fighting in the Army is unnecessary than perhaps the “hishtadlus” of running for a seat in the Knesset is also unnecessary.
Perhaps all the fighting within and between the parties is not worth the benefit that these parties bring.
Perhaps a better method would be to have the major national parties vie for the Chareidi vote just as the National parties in America vie for the Jewish vote.
