Interior Minister Aryeh Deri on Wednesday, 26 Nissan, appointed Interior Ministry Director-General Mordechai Cohen to examine the way in which Dublin Mayor Mícheál Mac Donncha managed to enter the country on Tuesday despite the order issued to prevent him from entering Israel due to his activities activity against Israel, which includes cooperating with BDS actions against Israel.
Minister Deri said this morning: “The entry inspection is required to prevent such mishaps in the future and to draw lessons from what happened. In any event, upon the departure of the Mayor of Dublin from the country and in light of his activities against Israel, I ordered him to give him a letter in which he would be forbidden to enter the territory of Israel in the future.”
The preliminary probe into the incident revealed an embarrassing simple error, the misspelling of the mayor’s name in the database banning his entry.

misspelling of the mayor’s name in the database because we rely too much on computers which are too stupid to think.
