A Siberian husky that disappeared from Beersheva was recovered by Israel Police in the Bedouin village of Tel Sheva, in southern Israel. What is special about the dog is its response to the tune of a popular Israeli comedy show, Shemesh, which prompts the animal to ‘sing’.
When police saw the children seated near the dog, it appeared to be quite neglected. The youths responded to the inquiry by police, explaining they found the dog wondering in the area and took him to the village. One of the policemen recalled an alert for the missing dog from Beersheva.
The owner explained that if the dog responds by singing to the hearing the soundtracks of “Shemesh” and another program, “Arthur”, then it is his dog. The test was not too difficult and as the music played, the dog responded as predicted he would. When other songs were played, the dog ignored them as clearly, he was only going to respond to those soundtracks.
Police were confident this was the missing dog and they happily reunited it with the owner.
