A special team arrived to install the national flag that was made to be displayed across the President’s Residence in Jerusalem as the nation prepares to mark its 70th birthday.

The Flag of Israel at 70 – the special 1,500 square meter flag, will be unveiled for the first time over the President’s Residence.

The flag, weighing 270kg, was produced especially in Israel and took 10 days to stitch, print and assemble. It will be unrolled across the roof of the President’s Residence by special cranes.

The flag was photographed by special drones allowed to fly over the closed secure area and by the Israeli satellite in space, assisted by Unit 9900 – the special Satellite unit of the IDF.
