Another of the wounded from the erev Shabbos Gaza border clashes died in Gaza on Tuesday, and the funeral served to provide a forum for more calls against Israel and to act to “punish Israel”. The latest Gaza shahid was draped in the flag of the Islamic Jihad as thousands participated in the funeral.

The Gaza Ministry of Health report 46 of the wounded from the border fence clashes are in serious condition and additional deaths are expected. In fact, Gaza officials have already enlisted the assistance of legal experts from nations around the world, working to convene an international probe into the events at the border towards holding Israel accountable.

Former senior peace negotiator from the Yasser Arafat era, Dr. Saeb Erekat, refers to IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott as a “murderer”, for sending the troops to the border. He blames Eizenkott for the deaths of 16-18 Gazans during the clashes on Friday, as well as for the injuring of 1,200 others, insisting IDF soldiers fired at youths who did not lift a finger, did not fire a bullet or throw a stone.

Hamas promises more action along the border this coming Friday in what it is calling “Aveilus on the Shahids”.
