Magen David Adom on Tuesday morning, 18 Nissan, responded to a call for a 45-year-old male wounded by gunfire in the Elmidan neighborhood of the Israeli Arab municipality of Um el-Fahm.

It is reported by police that a paramedic who responded pronounced the victim of the shooting dead on the scene. The victim is reported to have been an Imam in a local mosque and he was shot dead as he exited the mosque following morning prayers.

The assassination is under investigation.
