Tens of thousands participated in Birchas Kohanim on Monday, the second day Chol Hamoed Pesach in Eretz Yisrael, taking part in the tradition that has been a part of Yomtov for some four decades.

The event took place this year in the presence of the Chief Rabbis of Israel, Rishon L’Tzion HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Yosef Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Dovid Lau Shlita.

Also present were Chief Rabbi of the Kosel and Holy Sites Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz , US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Police Chief Roni Alshich and Jerusalem Police Chief Yoram Halevi.

The event was carried live on the Facebook and website of the Kosel Heritage Foundation.
