Three Jewish Teens Sentenced To Jail Time for ‘Price Tag’ Attacks


The Magisterial Court of Lod has announced sentencing for three Jewish teens accused of committing hate crimes against Arabs and their property. The teens were handed out jail sentences that ranged from 32 months to five years.

The teens were involved in the Gush Talmonim saga, during which illegal violent actions were carried out against Palestinian civilians that have been nicknamed Tag Machir in Hebrew or Price Tag retaliations in English. These actions are traditionally carried out in response to fatal terror attacks.

One of the teens, who during the incident he is being punished for was a minor, received five years of prison time after he was accused of being a member of a terror organization, comitting arson, violent racist attacks, and injuring another person with severe intent.

Another youngster was found guilty of committing similar acts during his IDF service and was sentences to 4.5 years in prison.

The third prisoner was found guilty of purposely causing damage based on racist motivations, and throwing stones at moving vehicles. He was sentenced to 32 months in prison.

The three youngsters have also agreed to pay a combined 50,000 NIS to the Palestinians whom they injured.
