An IDF soldier was attacked by two masked males on Friday, 8 Teves 5773 at the A-Ram Checkpoint in the northern capital. The soldier was assaulted and hit with pepper spray, permitting the attackers to grab his weapon. Officials are investigating in an effort to understand why the other soldiers failed to realize what was taking place and to respond appropriately.

The attack occurred at 01:45. It appears the attackers were assisted by the stormy weather, reaching the checkpoint undetected. They climbed the watch tower, opened the door, and attacked the soldier. The soldier fought his best to prevent them from taking his weapon, but he was unsuccessful.
