According to multiple reports coming out of various Arabic media outlets, Israeli Jets reportedly struck a number of Hezbollah position on the Syrian-Lebanese border on Sunday night. Neither Hezbollah nor the Israeli Air Force have confirmed such reports.
According to the media reports, the sites were located near the Lebanese town of Baalbek which is located in the central-north part of the country near the border with Syria.
While a Hezbollah statement denied the attacks, a spokesperson with the IDF spokesperson’s unit said that she was aware of the reports in Arabic media, but would not comment further.
According to one Lebanese website, al-Jadeed news, the loud sounds that were heard by residents were not explosions, but Israeli jets breaking the sound barrier.
