Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon is working to advance moving the United States Embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
As the senior minister explains in the video, he instructed the National Planning and Building Council to convene urgently in order to grant an exemption from the permit for the establishment of the necessary infrastructure for the transfer of the embassy.
He explains he is pleased to have a role in the process of relocating the embassy as being appointed as the government representative to expedite the process.
Kahlon stated, “For this purpose, I instructed the National Planning and Building Council to promote, pursuant to section 266 (e) of the Planning and Building Law, an exemption from a permit in order to establish essential infrastructure for the embassy’s activities.”
