Tens of thousands of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents took part in protests against Israel on Friday and shabbos, 2 and 3 Teves 5773. In Hebron, at least 3,000 Arabs protested against Israel, heading to the Jewish community in that city. They began taking part in Hamas events marking an anniversary of the terror organization and headed to Shoter Square.

The daily HaMevaser reports at least 1,000 marchers were on hand in Tulkarem, 2,000 in Ramallah, adding there were also reports of disturbances in the Kalandia, Na’alin, Nbei Samuel and Kever Rochel areas.

The violence began on cue following Friday Islamic prayer services on Har HaBayis. Hundred of Arabs began pelting police in the Old City of Yerushalayim with rocks. Arabs in the Azzoun area SE of Kalkilye, Hebron and other areas, Arabs began targeting Jewish motorists and IDF soldiers with rocks.

The violence is in line with intelligence community reports predicting this will be the case, with some stating the “Third Intifada” is already underway.

Commenting on the violence, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday 3 Teves 5773 told the members of the press, “Over the weekend, Hamas held festivities and demonstrations in Judea and Samaria to mark 25 years since it was founded. With the approval of Abu Mazen, they called for the destruction of Israel and the expulsion of Jews from Jerusalem and from every point in the State of Israel. We have been here in Jerusalem, not for 25 years; we have been here in Jerusalem for 3,000 years. We have been in the Land of Israel for close to 4,000 years. We have a strong and steadfast national will, the continuous historical consciousness and strength of soul of a people that has struggled for its homeland and knows how to maintain its state.”
