Bombs Detonated Along Northern Gaza Border; IDF Tanks Respond


A number of IEDs were detonated along the northern Gaza border early Thursday morning, 28 Adar. B’chasdei Hashem, there are no reports of fatalities or injuries among IDF troops.

IDF tank fire was directed at a Hamas position in Gaza in retaliation for the attack. Gaza sources report two direct hits in the Sajaiyah area of eastern Gaza.

IDF spokesman Brigadier-General Ronen Manelis explained an armored battalion was operating in the area of Nachal Ohz when two IEDs were detonated about 100 meters from the fence. He adds that they are probing the possibility that an anti-tank rocket was fired at the force as well.

There have been at least two bomb attacks against IDF troops along the border fence in recent weeks, including an attack in February that left four soldiers wounded, some seriously.
