In the shadow of a numerous police investigations against him alleging corruption, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu continues to emerge the victor in election poll, this time with 30 seats, the same as the party has in today’s Knesset.

The poll was conducted by Dr. Mina Tzemach, and in reality, it shows most parties should be opposed to early elections, for in many cases, the results are not encouraging.

Parenthesis indicates the number of seats held by the party in the current Knesset.

In the scenario above, coalition partners Kulanu, Shas and Yisrael Beitenu loose seats, as do opposition parties Machane Tzioni and the Arab List. We also see that a bid to return to Knesset by Eli Yishai fails as is the case with former Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon. In Shas’ case, it is at the margin for any party receiving fewer than four seats fails to meet the minimum threshold and will not be in Knesset.

Interestingly, MK Orli Abekasis, who runs a one-person party, emerges with five seats, one more that Yisrael Beitenu, the party she broke away from. Her party does not even have a name yet.

Clearly PM Netanyahu remains the most trusted option to continue running the nation and clearly, most voters are not interested in early elections!
