A five-year-old boy was seriously injured today in Beit Shemesh after he fell off of a wall that he was climbing on, according to reports from his family. The boy was taken to a nearby medical clinic located in a shopping plaza in Beit Shemesh, where he received first aid treatment by United Hatzalah emergency medical service (EMS) first responders who worked together with the staff of the health clinic to treat his injuries.
An ambulance brought the child to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem where he was given further treatment and kept for observation.
Volunteer ambucycle driver and EMT Menachem Leff described the boy’s status: “The boy was suffering from serious head trauma and injuries to his upper body. I assisted the team at the medical clinic and provided first aid treatment. His condition was listed as moderate to serious.”
A Magen David Adom spokesperson said: “We received an alert that a five-year-old boy had apparently fallen off of a wall and was brought to a nearby medical clinic in Beit Shemesh. Paramedics and EMTs from MDA transported the boy to Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital.
