The testimony of state witness Nir Hefetz must apparently concern at least two ministers serving in the government in addition to Prime Minister Netanyahu, since according to the report in Yediot Achronot, Hefetz gave his testimony in Lahav 433 details against them.
According to the report, in the framework of the headings that Hefetz delivered, he mentioned the names of four senior members of the Likud faction with whom he conducted working relations in the current Knesset and the one that preceded it, and according to suspicions of their conduct there is suspicion of criminal activity.
“The issues are related, among other things, to projects in the health system and the Ministry of Environmental Protection,” the newspaper reported. “Hefetz was dealing with these factors because of his special status on the prime minister’s staff.”
According to Yediot Achronot, “the conduct was carried out with a substantive conflict of interest, misuse of officeholders and the granting of improper preference.” These are issues related to regulation in the health system, real estate issues and an environmental issue that is still at the center of public concerns.”
“This is a highly valuable intelligence material, and part of it is added to previous intelligence materials that the police had,” sources involved in the affair told Yediot Achronot.
The report emphasized that Hefetz would be required to provide evidence and support for his statements, and that a criminal investigation against those senior officials would not be opened only on the basis of his version.
