It appears Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s ultimatum to chareidi faction leaders has calmed the waters.
Degel Hatorah faction leader in Knesset Moshe Gafni is now releasing messages of calm, confident the current coalition crisis surrounding the drat law can be resolved and early elections can be avoided.
Gafni stresses, “There is no major crisis and this dispute surrounding a new draft law will be resolved”.
While Degel Hatorah appears to be toning down threats, Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman has not changed his position publicly, stating he will not support the state budget if the draft law has not been passed into law first.
