Avreich Rav Yosef Schwartz ZT”L was niftar at the age of 47 during the predawn hours Wednesday, 20 Adar, after fighting a difficult and painful illness over the last eight months.

His condition took a sharp turn for the worse during the morning hours and EMS was summoned, but they had no alternative to pronouncing him dead on the scene.

The niftar was born in Haifa on 22 Sivan 5730 to HaChossid Rav Aharon Schwartz Z”L, a member of the Seret-Vishnitz community. He learned in Grodna Yeshiva. He married the daughter of HaRav Reuven Ben-Tzion, the secretary of the Tel Aviv Beis Din.

His entire life surrounded limud Torah, as well as his always running after opportunities to do chessed for others. He is survived by his rebitzen and four children, ranging in age from 17 to 5.

The levaya began at 11:30AM from his home, 30 Zakai Street in Bnei Brak to the Segulah Cemetery in Petach Tikvah.
