While Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman remains firm, stating he will not support the state budget until such time a new draft law is passed, MK Moshe Gafne of the Degel Hatorah faction of Yahadut Hatorah is signaling calm. He does not believe early elections will be forthcoming as a result of the coalition crisis surrounding the draft law.

At the opening of a Knesset Finance Committee session which he chairs, a session addressing the state budget, Gafne explained “My evaluation is there will not be early elections”. He went on to explain this is based on discussions he has conducted with MKs from other parties.
