A 17-year-old male was stabbed in the middle of a violent altercation in Givatayim on Sunday evening. According to reports from the scene numerous teens were involved in the incident and police were searching for the perpetrators. It was determined after the initial investigation that the incident was not nationalistic in nature.

United Hatzalah emergency responders who were dispatched to the scene provided emergency medical treatment to staunch the wounds of the injured person before he was transported by Magen David Adom to Tel Hashomer hospital. According to the United Hatzalah spokesperson’s department, the young man suffered a stab wound to his lower extremities.

Police are conducting a full investigation into the incident.
