Israeli Police Detectives together with Inspectors from the Finance Ministry confiscated thousands of explosive toys that were intended to be sold for Purim in Rehovot following a pinpoint and well-orchestrated police strike.
The strike pinpointed a large stock of the explosive toys, which are classified as illegal in Israel, as being housed in a private storage locker belonging. Tens of thousands of the small explosives caps were discovered and immediately confiscated.
The suspect in custody in the case is a 32-year-old man from Givat Zeev. He was arrested and taken for questioning on Thursday. He was brought before a Magisterial court in Rishon Letzion and was eventually released under house arrest for five days.
