As rocket attacks from Gaza into southern Israel are once again becoming regular occurrences, United Hatzalah has its eye on the future.
UH in Sderot has inaugurated the United Hatzalah Volunteer House, serving as a meeting place for volunteers and providing first aid courses for residents of the city.
In the special ceremony held on the weekend, a mezuzah was affixed by Rabbi Chaim Yosef Abergel, son and successor of the HaRav HaGaon Rabbi Yoram Abergel ZT”L.
Also participating in the event were: Sderot Mayor Mr. Alon Davidi and his deputy Mr. Elad Kalimi. Head of the religious council, Rabbi Oren Malka. President of UH Eli Bir. CEO of UH Moshe Teitelbaum and members of the management of UH.
In addition, members of the family of Efraim Gadassi, a volunteer in the motorcycle unit of UH, who was killed in a serious accident while on his way to save lives, attended and participated in the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the Sderot Unit for Psychological Assistance of UH was launched, which will be operated in the Sderot and Shaar HaNegev area in order to provide a quick and immediate response to every case that needs psychological assistance, which unfortunately is caused by the sirens and rocket hits in the area.
