A woman in her 40’s was killed after a crane fell on her car near a construction site near the Sharona mall in Kfar Saba on Sunday afternoon. First responders from the Fire and Rescue Department, United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom all responded to the incident. Unfortunately, due to the severity of her injuries, EMS personnel were forced to pronounce her death at the scene.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Binyamin Vengadler said: “When I arrived at the scene I saw a woman in her 40’s who was unconscious and pulseless. Her injuries were the result of a crane collapsing on her car from the nearby construction site. Fire and Rescue workers extricated the woman’s body from the crushed vehicle.”
Assi Dublinsky the Deputy Head of the Yarkon Region of Magen David Adom said: “We found the vehicle crushed with parts of it strewn across the street. There was an unconscious woman who was outside of her vehicle and showed no signs of life. In a short time her death was pronounced at the scene.”
Members of United Hatzalah’s Psychotrauma and Crisis Response Unit arrived at the scene shortly after the medical staff and treated numerous witnesses who saw the incident as well as family members of the deceased for shock and emotional stress.
Teams from Zaka arrived to collect the deceased and perform their Avodas Hakodesh.
