Magen David Adom reports receiving the call for a fire on HaChartzit Street in the Rova 8 area of Ashdod on Shabbos afternoon at 4:38PM. The firefighter in the video works to get up the ladder and rescue the mother of children before she could panic and make the wrong move.

The mother had already thrown her children to safety out of the second-story window of the smoke filled apartment, where a crowd of rescuers below caught them. She then sat down on the windowsill of the apartment that was on fire. The firefighting and rescue forces managed to catch her moments before she fell.

EMTs and paramedics below treated the injured. Three victims were transported to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod. A woman in her 30s was transported in moderate condition and two children, ages four and five were treated and transported for smoke inhalation.
