In his harsh criticism against Yesh Atid party leader MK Yair Lapid, coalition chairman MK (Likud) David Amsalem referred to him as “A Stinker” (Informant in Hebrew), refusing to apologize when called upon to do so. Amsalem spoke with Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) explaining Lapid is not a great person, and not an “innocent sheep”, accusing the police of working to oust the prime minister from office.
According to reports, Lapid provided police with key testimony in case 1000, information that dated back to his tenure as finance minister in the previous administration.
MK (Meretz) Zahava Gal-On is calling on coalition members to assist the prime minister in showing him the way out.
Minister of Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi, a long-time trust confidant of Mr. Netanyahu, told Israel Radio that Mr. Netanyahu remains the most suited person to run the nation.
