After Israel Police announced its recommendation to file criminal indictments against Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in cases 1000 and 2000, Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon came out in support of Mr. Netanyahu.

Kahlon is well-aware that the files now rest in the hands of the attorney general, and until he makes a decision, there is nothing to be done as the law clearly stipulates that the attorney general is the only one who has the authority to file criminal indictments. Kahlon also called on “Everyone, left and right-wing to stop attacks against Israel Police and the rule of law and to permit the system to work without pressure from right or left, to work in an orderly, professional and prudent fashion”.
