Last week, Israel Police and Border Police arrested a mother (48) and her daughter (16), both residents of PA (Palestinian Authority) areas, both suspected of serious offenses including conspiring to carry out an attack, incitement to terrorism and possession of weapons.

After police learned she intended to carry out an attack, an investigation was launched that led to the identity of the daughter, and police arrived at her home and placed her in custody.

During the arrest, her mother began to harass the police and then assaulted them. As a result, the mother was also arrested for interrogation and both were transferred for questioning in the Central Unit in the Jerusalem District.

According to the investigation, the daughter is suspected of planning to carry out an attack against Israeli civilians.

The mother is involved in incitement offenses through a social network in which she appears to possess automatic weapons, fires them, and expresses incitement. The suspect was interrogated for serious offenses of possession of weapons, incitement to terror, shooting in residential areas, and assaulting police officers. The daughter was questioned for threats to carry out an attack.

The detention of the mother and daughter was extended in court until Sunday 26 Shevat.
