Arab stone throwing attacks have become a common occurrence in the city of Lod according to one Israeli newspaper that reported yet another rock throwing attack in the city, this time against Jewish houses that lie close to the rail-lines that pass through the city.

These nationalistic inspired attacks occur on a regular basis according to residents who report damage to their property and vehicles. Complaints have  been filed by the police but the attacks still happen.

On Sunday afternoon, just after 2:00 p.m. a number of residents reported hearing a very loud noise and after heading outside saw that rocks had been thrown at their building. One resident said that she looked out of her window and actually saw the assailants continue throwing rocks after the first loud noise. The resident said that it seemed clear to her that the intent was to harm civilians.

“They were throwing rocks from just the other side of the tracks that lie adjacent to our house and neighborhood. I was in the middle of frying vegetables in the kitchen when I heard a very loud noise outside. It came from a rock hitting my shutters. Police came to check out what was happening but the Arabs had already fled.
