65% of Shas voters feel that Aryeh Deri’s battle to pass the Shabbos/Makolet Bill is justified and a battle for Kedushas Shabbos. Only 18% feel the battle is merely for political gain, a poll carried out by Panels, headed by Menachem Lazar and commissioned by the Knesset Chanel shows.
The poll also shows 44% of Shas voters feel Deri acted incorrectly when trying to persuade MK Yehuda Glick to come and vote for the bill just after the kvura of his wife A”H. 25% feel Deri acted appropriately when he tried.
Regarding the resignation of Minister David Azoulai from Knesset to advance the vote on the Shabbos Bill, a resignation that never occurred – 41% of Shas voters feel Deri acted incorrectly, while 29% back him.
Regarding Deri’s handling of Shas, 50% of voters expressed satisfaction from the party while 37% are unsatisfied with its performance.
53% of Shas voters feel Deri should remain the party leader as opposed to 35% who feel someone else should have the slot.
When asked about the possibility to Eli Yishai returning, 47% of Shas voters feel Deri must make peace with Yishai while 29% feel the two do not have to work out their differences and they can continue on their separate paths.

Nowecant – are you for real? Don’t make Yishai into a victim, and without going into facts, Deri did build this party ground up.
