Bnei Brak: Mother and Daughter Give Birth Two Hours Apart

A mother and daughter gave birth two hours apart in Maayanei Hayeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak on Sunday morning. The mother who is 45 years old had her tenth child, a daughter, while the new born’s older sister (25) gave birth to her third son and nephew to his newborn aunt.

The daughter who was about to give birth heard the excitement taking place in the other room where her mother had given birth to her sister and was proud to be able to share in the joy from across the hall. Some two hours later, when her son was born, the nurses rushed to tell the ecstatic grandmother, who was nursing her new-born infant at the time. During the entire procedure, the fact that the two new mothers were related was kept a discreet secret and only family members and the attending nurse knew about it.

Head of the Delivery Rooms, Dr. Ionia Ultiano said: “We are proud to be part of this double simcha and to be able to give the family the professional and highest level of care here at Maayanei Hayeshua hospital. We are looking forward to continuing our track record in 2018 of being the hospital with the third highest delivery rate in Israel while placing the patient’s privacy as a top priority.

Head of the Women’s and Children’s division at the hospital Prof. Yossi Lessing said: “We want to wish a mazal tov to the mother and daughter on the birth of their son-grandson and daughter-sister. We wish them both a speedy recovery and an easy time raising their new children.

I’m sure it’s the latter of the 2.
