Rabbi Moshe Klein, 55, has been appointed as the new rav for Hadassah Hospital. Rav Klein is affiliated with the dati leumi tzibur, a graduate of Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva. He received his ordination from the late chief rabbi and rosh yeshiva of Merkaz HaRav, HaGaon HaRav Avrohom Kahana Shapira ZT”L. He is also an attorney, with a graduate degree in law from Bar Ilan University.
For the past 19 years he has been at the helm of the Bnei Akiva affiliated צפירה High School. He was also director of the בת עמי Sheirut Leumi in the past, and deputy director of the state run conversion program. For the past 12 years he has also been the voluntary rav of the Kfar Ganim community in Petach Tikvah.
The Tzohar Rabbonim organization, which lobbied on Rav Klein’s behalf praised Hadassah’s decision to bring Rav Klein in, a move Tzohar is confident, will benefit the medical organization, its staff and patients.
