The government’s quality service report to the public, which measures the level of government service, ranked the marriage registration branches in the religious councils first in the general satisfaction category (92%), out of dozens of government ministries and support units examined in the survey.
Particularly prominent in quality of service was the religious council in Tel Aviv, with a high average given by couples registering for marriage in the city, a measure of ease and efficiency of the registration process.
Offices and other units rated high in the various categories are the Corporations Authority (91%), the Holocaust Survivors Rights Authority (90%), the Ministry of Religious Services, the Ministry of Defense, the Israel Police, the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption and the National Insurance Institute.
The comprehensive survey was measured over a long period of time by observing and measuring the time of receiving the frontal service, satisfaction surveys and field interviews with clients conducted by the surveyors of the Government ICT Authority. Among other things, the reviewers examined the experience of visiting the branch, the waiting time in the line, the level of handling the requests, the professionalism of the employees and the efficiency of the process.
Eldad Mizrachi, chairman of the Tel Aviv Religious Council, welcomed the findings of the report and said, “We are very pleased with the results of the survey, which are impressive to the level of marriage registration in Israel. To be first in service level is a great achievement, which we have strived in recent years and which also requires continuation.
“There is no doubt that the change in the service consciousness and the change in perception among the service providers in which we have placed the citizen at the center leads to increased public trust in us, and I am convinced that this will also expand to other religious services in the State of Israel.”
