Israel has sent a team of rescuers and professionals to Accra, the capital of Ghana following the collapse of a multi-story shopping mall. According to reports from Ghana, at least 40 people have been killed and dozens injured.
The Israeli aid team includes medical personnel along with communications and engineering experts.
A Magen David Adom team is also heading there on Thursday, bringing physicians and paramedics along with other experts to establish a field hospital.
The shopping center was closed when the collapse occurred so while there has been loss of life; only employees were inside, pointing out if the center was operating the outcome would have been significantly worse.
