A large number of police and Yassam commandos evacuated a few dozen chareidim affiliated with the Peleg faction after they barricaded themselves in the Chanichei Yeshivos that was built in an illegal caravan in the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The mispallalim, who until now had been davening in an apartment that turned into a shul, placed a caravan in the parking lot without permission. On Thursday morning 17 Teves, municipal inspectors accompanied by police forces arrived to evacuate them.
Police were compelled to use force as those barricaded inside were unwilling to come out on their own. Peleg affiliated Deputy Jerusalem Mayor Chaim Epstein was on hand, trying to assist the people in the shul, albeit without success. Two persons were detained for questioning.

Peleg seems to me to be affiliated with the conservative movement. They acknowledge that the Torah was given at Sinai, but they do not accept the rulings of the ancient rabbis, דינא דמלכותא דינא that the rabbis have told us that the law of the land is to be observed.
So I guess maybe they have a connection with the conservative movement and with the tzadukim???
