At the end of the covert operation of the Central Unit’s detectives, 8 members of a burglary ring were apprehended red handed after breaking into a Jerusalem business and stealing advanced dental equipment and supplies worth tens of thousands of shekels.

Following information received by the Israel Police, the Central Unit’s detectives over the past 24 hours conducted a secret operation that was carefully planned for several days against a number of suspects who operated together as a ring and carried out burglaries and thefts throughout the country.

During the early morning hours, members of the cell were seen coming out of a shop dealing in dental equipment and supplies located in the center of the country, loading two vehicles with large suitcases and property.

When the signal was given, the detectives operating in Jerusalem took control of the suspects and arrested them and impounded the items in the vehicles.

In searches of suspect vehicles, the advanced dental equipment and supplies were recovered along with burglary tools, and gloves that were used by suspected perpetrators. Mobile devices were also seized, which according to the suspicions were used by the suspects.

Police report that two of the suspects live in the eastern capital and the other six in PA (Palestinian Authority) areas. The store owner was notified and updated of the situation.

Police add the suspects were scheduled to be arraigned later Wednesday.
