It was an unwelcome and embarrassing surprise this week, the convoy carrying Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan in the Abu Dis area came under attack by Arabs throwing rocks, 0404 News reported.
The minister was uninjured but the bulletproof windshield was cracked and the armored vehicle sustained body damage from the rocks.
Abu Dis is an area under PA control, bordering Jerusalem. officials in Erdan’s office stated the attack highlights the need for improved security in the area.
A border policeman who was present told the press Mr. Erdan played down the severity of the attack and he was indeed fortunate that he escaped unscathed.

good, good, let our Israeli government officials experience what rock throwing is really about and maybe, maybe, they will finally do something to stop it.
If he would have been hurt, you can be sure security would have been upgraded immediately. But ordinary motorists like me… who gives a hoot? I hope this will make a dent (pun intended) in the government’s policy.
