Former Shas MK Yigal Guetta told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) on Thursday morning 10 Teves that Machane Tzioni leader Avi Gabbai is more suited to serve as Prime Minister than Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Guetta explained he met with Gabbai, and they discussed possible political opportunities. Regarding the corruption investigations against Mr. Netanyahu, Guetta explained that coalition chairman MK David Bitan understood he cannot run the coalition while under police investigation, so he resigned as coalition chair. He questions how Mr. Netanyahu, who is under investigation in a number of cases, can continue serving as head of the nation.
Gabbai was first to back Guetta up after he resigned from Knesset. As the head of a party that will be home to all the moderate groups in Israeli society, I promise that we will stand up to anyone who tries to take ownership of Judaism and turn it into a tool for excluding populations. I’m sure people like Yigal Guetta will be our partners in this struggle.”
Guetta was ousted from the Shas lineup by party leader Aryeh Deri after he, Guetta, announced on radio he attended a toeiva wedding of a relative.

this man is a disgrace to any god fearing yid, he shouldn’t be given any podium or microphone , certainly not as a representative of religious people or political parties, and one would think on a site that has yeshiva in its name it would be self understood
but then again he didn’t get it either
