Representative of chassidic communities and mosdos in Tzefas signed a kol korei to formulate a single unified list that would represent needs of the community and the individual in the city without splits.
The appeal to the representatives, which was already heard this past summer, was heard by representatives of the communities prior to the municipal elections that will be held in the month of Cheshvan 5769. The call explains they are seeking achdus ahead of elections in the city.
The heads of the tzibur in Tzefas held consultations and it was decided that the representatives of the chassidish communities and institutions in the city would sign a joint call under the title: כולני כאחד נעשה ונשמע.
In a letter to the representatives of the chassidish communities and mosdos in Tzefas, it is stated that “it is no secret that together with the large number of chareidim in our city, the needs of the communities for tefilla, education and tzedaka are growing exponentially. These are the essential and fundamental elements of our spiritual existence here, the great sense of inadequacy.
“It is clear to all that real and significant action is required of us, which will harmonize us without splits into one large and united unit that will be able to faithfully represent the needs of the communities in general and the above-mentioned needs in particular. And therefore, we would suggest that this action and the placement of candidates be made by expressing the opinion of the communities, on the day and hours that will be determined, by a committee of public figures representing communities in Tzefas that have a problem.”
The kol korei is signed by representatives of Amshinov, Sadigura, Sanz, Erlau, Breslov, Biala, Nadvorna, Khal Chassidim, Seret-Vishnitz and Laluv.
