The Jerusalem Naming Committee has selected a number of streets that will be renamed to perpetuate the memory of a select few. Earlier, YWN-ISRAEL reported Bar Ilan Junction would be named Maran Junction in memory of HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L and a street in Ramot would be named after Maran HaGaon HaRav Sholom Elyashiv ZT”L.
The committee has also decided to name the road paved between Motza and Shaare Zedek Hospital after the late prime minister, Ariel Sharon. Chiefs of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shachak and Moshe Levi will be perpetuated on streets in the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood of the northern capital.
In addition, in conjunction with the 70th anniversary of the state, the decision was made to perpetuate extreme self-sacrifice by IDF soldiers and officers, headed by Major Roi Klein HY”D, who jumped on a hand grenade while shouting “Shema Yisrael” to have his troops in Lebanon during the Second Lebanon War. Pvt. Natan Elbaz HY”D, who was killed in the 1950s, also jumping on a grenade to save his men.

why would we name anything other than a toilet after that man whom kicked so many Yidden out of their homes, destroyed shuls and dug up graves in order to appease Hamas?
