Disabled Israeli protesters remain outside the Prime Minister’s Residence on Balfour Street in Jerusalem on Tuesday, 1 Teves, following a night-long vigil. The protesters have been in the streets for weeks, locking down areas of the country during recent weeks as they continue their protests, demanding an increased government assistance package.
They maintain while they do receive assistance from the government, it does not permit them to maintain a dignified lifestyle, vowing to continue their protests until the government places an acceptable offer on the table.

What is an “dignified lifestyle”?? There are sadly many non-disabled citizens of EY (both yidden and Arabs) who also would like to have an “dignified” lifestyle but face many obstacles, some within their control but most not. Hopefully, the government can find the funds to give them what they need, along with others but there is an intense competition for government charity when a growing percentage of the population is demanding welfare and subsidy payments and fewer are contributing to the economic growth needed to sustain such welfare funding through taxes generated by a growing economy.
