An indictment was filed last week against Wael Natsheh, 23, from Hebron for stealing bee hives from an agricultural area near Modi’in and for other offenses. The investigation by the Israel Police began about a week ago after reports about the theft of eight hives from an agricultural area near Modi’in.
A police force at the checkpoint, on Route 1 near the Chemed Junction, identified the vehicle with the suspect, dressed as a beekeeper. The suspect was arrested and taken for questioning at the police station.
The indictment indicates that the defendant stole eight active beehives worth NIS 10,000 from an agricultural area near Modi’in.
The indictment also revealed that after being arrested by the police, the defendant presented the police with a false identity card and after interrogation he confessed that he was a forged identity card and that he was staying in Israel without a valid permit.
The police prosecution filed an indictment in his case and a request to detain him until the end of the proceedings for agricultural theft, criminal trespassing, illegal entry into Israel, interfering with a policeman in the performance of his duties, the use of a forged document, assisted by a vehicle to commit an offense and driving without a driver’s license.

it is a shame that it is so easy to get into Israel with a false ID…..
garlic misread or misunderstood the article. This man entered the country legally, but stayed longer than permitted. Then he used a false ID to help him with his criminal activity. No one suggested that he somehow duped the government agency at the airport or at a border crossing.
