1:57PM IL: Sirens sounded in many Gaza border communities, detecting a rocket-launch from Gaza. Sirens were heard in Sapir College, Nir Am, Sderot, Shar HaNegev Industrial Park, Erez and other areas in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council.
It was later reported the sirens were a false alarm and no rocket launches from Gaza were detected. However, mortar rockets were fired at an IDF position from N. Gaza, apparently targeting personnel working on the border fence. The IDF responded to the gunfire.
