Israel Electric Company is taking part in the expansion of HaChotzavim Street, the main street of Mevasseret Zion.
As part of the work, the company converts a high-voltage network to an underground network, with the expansion of the road, translates two columns with transformers to the future pavement, according to the development plan and copies low voltage cables, connections to nearby neighborhood houses and distribution cabinets.
At Sheva Acayot Junction, down the street, a high voltage circuit is closed, which will improve the provision of service to customers and the reliability of the electricity supply.
The work began in September, is carried out in coordination with the project manager and with the contractor who is implementing the expansion of the road.
In addition, the company is currently in the process of converting an elite network into an underground network adjacent to the Mevasseret Zion local council building, where an amphitheater is planned. Another work of converting an upper grid into an underground network is also carried out at Harel Bridge, as a continuation of Highway 1 project for the construction of the Harel tunnel.
IEC District Manager Moshe Cohen explains, “As a national company, the IEC takes part in infrastructure projects for widening roads, and inter alia, adapts the electricity infrastructure in coordination with the local authority, while providing optimal solutions in accordance with the customer’s requirements.”
