A maritime Iron Dome missile defense system on board the Israel Navy Lahav has been declared operational after it has undergone testing for 18 months. Officials point out this significantly increases the effectiveness of the Iron Dome out a sea and for providing protecting against attack targeting Israel’s natural gas drilling rigs.

Testing include the firing of single and multiple rockets for the maritime Iron Dome to intercept and it performed as hoped.
