Israel Police arrested three suspects for attacking and spraying a shwarma store operator with pepper spray because his pita was torn.
Police received a report that a shwarma store operator was attacked in the store by three suspects who sprayed him with pepper spray and fled the scene. Patrolmen who responded began gathering evidence from the scene when one of the suspects phoned to arrange to meet with the owner. The police set up a stakeout for the suspect, leading to the arrest of all three, persons in their 20s. They were in possession of burglary tools, a pocketknife, and pepper spray when they were arrested.
Interrogators learned the assaulted the owner because the pita they received with the shwarma was torn. The suspects were arraigned, and their remand extended for five days.
