Chief Rabbi of Israel Dovid Lau Shlita spoke with Health Minister Yaakov Litzman on Sunday morning 8 Kislev to congratulate him on his decision to resign from the cabinet over Chilul Shabbos, adding his actions, which follow instruction from his rabbonim, are a Kiddush Hashem.
The chief rabbi explained how Shabbos is the ‘Yom Menucha and Kedusha’ but unfortunately, the latter, ‘Kedusha’ has been forgotten by too many.
When asked to comment on Litzman’s actions, both Moshe Gafne and Aryeh Deri declined.
