Honenu reported on Sunday morning Rosh Chodesh Kislev that a 16-year-old youth was arrested by police in the Kosel Plaza during the morning hours.
The youth spat at a worshiper affiliated with Reform Jewry. According to eyewitnesses, a female worshiper was provoking mispallalim arriving at the Kosel and he spat near her, in her direction.
Attorney Rechavia Feltz of Honenu was in the police station when the suspect arrived, and he began assisting with his case. “It is regrettable that the Israel Police allows freedom of expression only to the one side, Reform members are allowed to harm and provoke, and violate the welfare of the general public and those who protest against it find themselves in detention. This is a discriminatory policy, Feltz stated.
The youth was released after questioning.
